FOREWORD

In this day of Kingdom work, God is using many ways to declare a word of encouragement to His people. Such ways as songs, books, movies and plays all to inspire us "that we might be filled with all the fullness of God." God has done it once again with this book of poetry.

One word that comes to mind when looking at the words in this book is "awesome." The way God has caused Cheryl Dolberry's hands to move across the pages and to write such words to build up the body of Christ, "It's a God thing."

It is indeed a pleasure to serve as her pastor and to see God use her to take the body of Christ to another level. Her poems inspire us to seek God in a deeper knowledge. As you read this book of poems, there is no doubt in my mind that you will be moved and empowered with her words. You will feel love for those who feel like they can't be loved; hope for those that feel like they are in a hopeless situation; faith for the one who has felt like it can't be done; and endurance to encourage us to hold on to the promises of God.

So as the Spirit of God once moved upon the men of old to write the scriptures, He has moved upon Cheryl to impart and impact our lives with these words of inspiration.

FOREWORD

In the year of 2004, the Lord began to anoint Cheryl to write poetry again. This time her inspiration was coming from the "Word of God." Her pastor, Elder Carlston D. Brisco, Sr., after seeing and hearing the writings and how they were blessing the church congregation, encouraged her to put them into a book so that others would be blessed and encouraged; and so she did. Little did we know that it was just the beginning of a good thing. So, it is once again that God has moved upon the hands of Cheryl Lee Dolberry to write another book of poetry entitled "Poetry From the Word of God II."

When you read this book of poetry, your heart and spirit will be made confident, strengthened and empowered through these written words. They will cause a transformation to take place in your life. I believe that there is a poem in this book for every situation. God speaks to Cheryl and He has anointed her to write these inspiring words once more. After reading these poems, there will be no doubt that God does speak to her and that He has given her an astounding gift.

God Bless you Sis. Cheryl! I count it an honor and a privilege to have been asked to write the "Foreword" for your book. May the blessings and the anointing of God continue to be with you and in you, so that you may continue to write these inspiring words so that others may be blessed, healed and become encouraged through the words that God has given to you.
